This is a necklace made of stabilised turquoise and onyx. Lovely blue turquoise with a hint of green is spaced between onyx briolettes & faceted onyx rondelles, 925 silver balls & bail caps for a chic and timeless look.
Turquoise is a very soft gemstone. Stabilisation by adding a hardening compound, usually resin, makes the gemstone harder and ready to withstand regular wear and tear. Onyx has been treated to give the intense uniform black colour.
